This past weekend, the annual convention was held for this company. Among the many announcements was this one:
"We have a new name! We are no longer 'Shelf Reliance'. Now we are: THRIVE LIFE!
There is great excitement about this name change because Thrive Life truly embodies everything this company stands for: providing products for a thriving life!

Hot spiced chai tea
For my birthday, a friend gave me a bag of hot spiced chai tea mix. All I have to do is add hot milk. Well, we don't have any "traditional" milk here at home, so I have a choice:
Run out to the store and get some milk, wasting time, spending money on gas and the milk; OR
Open up my THRIVE instant milk can which I opened about 3 months ago, mix up just the amount I will need for the tea; I am saving money, time, and I KNOW that the milk has come from anti-biotic free cows!

Quick, easy recipe
I had to whip up a main dish in about 1/2 an hour yesterday, and as I weighed my options, I chose this:
Arden's Beef and Rice
1 pound THRIVE freeze-dried cooked ground beef (re-hydrated in warm water in 15 min.)
4 cups Basmati Rice (cooked in 20 min)
1 cup re-hydrated THRIVE spinach (1 minute)
3/4 cup re-hydrated THRIVE onion (about 4 minutes)
2 cloves fresh garlic
Mix all ingredients together in a skillet, add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
Can you say easy? Fast? Tasty, nutritious, and much better than running out to pick something up to take with us to a pot-luck!

Minnesota Home Show
One of my favorite things to do now is having a booth at expos and home shows! This past week, three of us were in Minneapolis, MN at the Home Show in their convention center downtown. I love everything about it: meeting people, introducing them to Thrive Foods and Shelf Reliance, making connections with different businesses who also have booths at these events, and of course seeing new parts of the country!
What amazed me most about this home show was of the hundreds and hundreds of people we talked to, VERY few of them had ever even heard of Shelf Reliance and Thrive Foods! I kept telling each person, "This would be a tremendous business opportunity for you as the market is WIDE OPEN here!"
